Job Description Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial reports and statements. Support the accounting team with day-to-day financial tasks. Help ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies. Contribute to the development and maintenance of accurate financial records. Participate in financial audits and provide necessary documentation and support. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support projects. Assist in budget preparation and monitoring processes. Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information. The Successful Applicant A successful Work Placement - Finance should have: A strong interest in accounting and finance within the public sector. Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. What's on Offer Salary £25,333.33 33 days of annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays, all pro-rata'd. A 35-hour work week to support work-life balance. Reimbursement for travel expenses, including parking or rail station costs, up to £8 per day in Cardiff.
