What you will do:

• Undertake comprehensive pre-birth assessments where there are safeguarding concerns, ensuring timely and evidence-based analysis
• Lead on complex Child Protection enquiries and court work, including preparation of high-quality reports and statements
• Work collaboratively within multi-agency teams, including midwives, health visitors, substance misuse services, and legal professionals
• Develop and implement robust pre-birth care plans to ensure the safety and wellbeing of unborn and newborn children

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree in Social Work or equivalent (CQSW, DipSW, or BA/MA Social Work)

Registration and Compliance:

• Must be registered with Social Work England and have a strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989/2004, Care Planning Regulations, and Working Together guidance
• A solid understanding of safeguarding practices, child protection processes, and court proceedings is essential
