Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for food safety standards. Responsibilities
Assist with meal and food preparation, ensuring ingredients are ready and available for cooking
support chefs and kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks as required
prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including work surfaces, utensils, and storage spaces
Follow food safety and hygience regulations at all times
Serve food to customers or staff in accordance with service standards
Assist in setting up dining areas and clearing tables after service
Help with stock rotation and inventory checks to ensure freshnesss and minimise waste
Requirements
Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygience practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Willingness to learn new skills related to cooking and food prep
Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends if required
