Job Description

Play2Give is seeking a creative and organised Marketing and Communications Officer to lead the delivery of engaging digital content across its platforms as well as written press support including press releases and press engagement. This role is responsible for bringing the charity’s communications strategy to life through consistent, high-quality content that reflects its voice, values, and community impact. You will support both the Marketing and Communications Lead, and the charity’s Director & Chair, in helping to grow audience engagement, increase visibility, and support campaigns - for example, our annual Christmas Sleigh2Give and Easter egg appeals. What you will do · Plan and deliver content across Play2Give’s social media platforms, ensuring consistency in tone, · messaging, and visual identity. · Create and publish engaging written and visual content that promotes events, campaigns, and · community impact - including written press releases and articles for the charity website · Under the guidance of the Marketing and Communications Lead, manage day-to-day activity across platforms, including drafting and scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and maintaining an active presence. · Liaise with the charity’s Chair & Director, who also plays an active role in communications activities, and undertake tasks as required. · Monitor performance and engagement metrics, using insights to improve content and reach. · Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Lead to align content with wider strategy · and campaign goals. · Collaborate with the Impact Communications Coordinator to capture real stories, photos, and updates from · events and activities. · Contribute ideas to improve digital engagement, audience growth, and storytelling. · Ensure all content reflects Play2Give’s values and brand guidelines. What you will bring · Experience or strong interest in social media marketing, content creation, or digital communications. · Strong written communication skills and attention to detail. · Creative thinking with the ability to produce engaging content. · Confidence using social media platforms and design tools such as Canva. · Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team. · Interest in charity work and community impact. · Comfort working in a remote, volunteer‑led environment
