Make a difference in Scotland's Gypsy/Traveller communitiesMECOPP (Minority Ethnic Carers of People Project) is Scotland's leading Black and Minority Ethnic carers' organisation. We work to reduce inequalities, improve access to culturally responsive services, and support some of the most marginalised communities across Scotland.Thanks to funding from the Scottish Government's Gambling Levy, we have established our new Better Wellbeing Service, designed to address gambling harms, improve wellbeing, and strengthen support for Gypsy/Traveller individuals, families and communities.We are now seeking passionate, committed individuals to join our growing team and help deliver this innovative and impactful service across Scotland.We are seeking individuals from the Gypsy/Traveller community to act as local community connectors and champions. Community Workers will raise awareness of gambling harms, support community members to access services, promote wellbeing and help ensure community voices are heard. Applicants must be members of the Gypsy/Traveller community as this post is subject to a Genuine Occupational Requirement.
