Location: This is a hybrid role, offering a combination of being able to work remotely and from our Warrington office.Contract Type: PermanentThe OpportunityThe Management Accountant is responsible for providing accurate financial information, analysis, and insight to support operational and strategic decision-making. The role focuses on cost control, and performance reporting, ensuring the business operates efficiently and achieves its financial objectives.What You Will Be DoingPrepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flowAnalyse variances against budget and forecast, providing clear explanationsDeliver month end activities in line with the timetable, task list, journal standards and approvalsPrepare month end numbers by gaining a full understanding of the business system SYNC to gain deep knowledge of the Goods Receipts and Accrued Income postingsCollaborate with the RSIS commercial and FP&A functions to ensure clear reporting and analysisSupport senior management with ad hoc analysis and reportingMonitor costs and identify areas for efficiency improvementAnalyse cost drivers and support cost reduction initiativesAssist in maintaining balance sheet integrity by preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and directing the clearance of aged balances, and month-end close outputsSupport audit processes
