What you will do
- Assessment: Conduct Section 23 assessments to identify the needs of children and young people with disabilities.
- Case Management: Manage a varied caseload, ensuring children receive appropriate services and support.
- Safeguarding: Respond effectively to safeguarding concerns and referrals, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children.
- Care Planning: Develop, implement, and review child-focused plans in partnership with families and professionals.
- Risk Assessment: Assess and manage risks while promoting positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Multi-Agency Working: Work collaboratively with families, carers, schools, health professionals, and partner agencies.
- Meeting Participation: Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, reviews, and planning discussions.
- Advocacy: Ensure the voice of the child remains central to assessment, planning, and decision-making processes.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Social Work Qualification: Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Registration: Current registration with the relevant social work regulatory body.
