Learning and Engagement Officer Starting salary up to £32,439 (pro rata) Part Time 30 hours per week, Fixed Term contract to 1 September 2028 Based at King’s Court Council Offices, King’s Lynn We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and creative Learning and Engagement Officer to join our ambitious cultural programme at St George’s Guildhall – the UK’s oldest working theatre. As the Guildhall and Creative Hub continues its transformative journey, you will play a key role in shaping how audiences of all ages connect with its remarkable heritage and future vision. The restoration of St George’s Guildhall is an internationally significant project which since October 2023 has built an education programme that has engaged with over 10,000 children and young people. The media reach of the project since October 2023 has been over 921 million people world-wide. The well-resourced education and outreach programme is a vital part of what we do. Working as part of a collaborative and passionate team, you will lead the development and delivery of an inspiring learning and engagement programme. From early years through to KS4, you will create engaging curriculum-linked experiences, while also delivering a vibrant programme of community events that bring history, creativity and culture to life. This is a unique opportunity to influence how thousands of children, young people and local communities experience one of the country’s most significant heritage sites and are inspired to engage in arts and culture to raise aspirations. You will build strong partnerships with schools, community, cultural organisations and key stakeholders, while using your expertise to design inclusive, high-quality learning opportunities both in person and online. With a proven background in heritage, arts or education settings, you will be confident planning and evaluating programmes, working to targets and deadlines, and communicating effectively with a broad range of audiences.
