Young Carers/Young Adult Carers Worker

East Renfrewshire Carers’ Centre have received funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to employ a Young Adult Carer’s Support Worker. This post will work with young carers/young adult carers providing practical and emotional support on an individual and group basis.The worker will be responsible for working with young carers/young adult carers to identify their support needs and work with partner agencies to ensure that their caring role does not have a negative impact on the young carers’ life.The post-holder will be expected to work 35 hours flexibly across the week to meet the needs of the service with a significant amount of time spent working after school and in the evening. The post-holder will be expected to work in venues across East Renfrewshire, enabling the highest levels of access for young carers.This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
