One25 One25 is a Bristol charity which reaches out to women who street sex work. We meet women who have been deeply traumatised from childhood abuse and violence. This leads to life situations where they are stigmatised, marginalised, locked out of society and face life-controlling issues. We work non-judgmentally and with unconditional love to build a relationship with each woman. Our Services The outreach van meets women on the streets at night, 7 nights a week. This outreach service is often how women first make contact with us, meeting us on our fully equipped outreach van. In our Hub, the women can come in, no appointment needed and access the medical care they need along with a hot meal and a shower. Both services provide women with vital resources such as food, clothing, shoes, condoms, safety alarms, toiletries, harm reduction kits and seasonal items. Many of this stock is kindly donated. This stock needs to be sorted through prior to shifts to ensure both the hub and van are stocked when the women access. Role Description and Person Specification If you are well organised and can donate 2 hours of your time a week on a Monday morning to help women heal and thrive then please get in touch. We are looking for a Stock Assistant Volunteer to support sorting out stock and restocking the hub and van, as well as supporting in cleaning and organising the interior of the outreach van Availability Able to travel to and from St Pauls, Bristol. Available to commit to 2 hours on a Monday morning Attributes: Well organised, with good attention to detail Able to take initiative and yet also work within boundaries Adaptable and proactive Share our values of Compassion, Justice, Learning Tasks may involve: Emptying bags of donations and sorting into categorized boxes Doing a stock intake and informing the Service Coordinator what needs to be ordered in/requested Checking and replenishing van supplies Making up packs for the van e.g. condom bags, harm reduction kits, clothing bags Tidying the storeroom Cleaning and tidying the van In return you will: Gain knowledge about the inner workings of a small women’s charity Have access to Adult Safeguarding Training and Supporting Street Worker training Improve the lives of marginalized women A reference provided after 6 months This role is perfect for some who wants: An introduction into the charity sector (women’s crisis intervention) To learn about the women we support and how our trauma informed approach makes an impact To contribute to the mission of One25 To apply Get in touch to register your interest.
