About Our Client Our Client National retail occasion 10,000+ employees Head office in Reading Hybrid working Fantastic close knit team Job Description Part Time Payroll (15 hours per week) Assist in processing payrolls across different pay cycles (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) Input and check payroll data such as hours worked, overtime, and basic pay Support payroll runs by preparing information and carrying out basic checks Help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time Maintain employee payroll records, including starters, leavers, and changes Process basic updates such as address changes, bank details, and tax codes Ensure payroll documents are saved and organised correctly Respond to basic payroll queries from employees (e.g., payslips, payments) Escalate more complex queries to senior team members Provide a helpful and professional service to employees The Successful Applicant Part Time Payroll (15 hours per week) Basic knowledge of payroll processes or legislation Experience using payroll systems or Excel Interest in developing a career in payroll (e.g., studying towards CIPP) Previous administrative or payroll experience (or a strong interest in payroll) Great attention to detail and accuracy Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines Strong communication skills What's on Offer Part Time Payroll (15 hours per week) Rolling contract (minimum term until October 2026) Part Time - 15 hours per week Hybrid working - typically 1-2 days per week in the office Reading based - free parking on site Easy Access via public transport
