What you will do:

• Conduct assessments, reviews, and support planning for children and families in accordance with the Care Act 2014
• Screen incoming referrals within the Single Assessment function and direct accordingly, included signposting to prevention services
• Manage safeguarding concerns in line with the relevant procedures, including undertaking necessary enquiries
• Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with NHS partners, occupational therapists, and community providers
• Assess and manage risk, determine mental capacity, and make best interest decisions using the Mental Capacity Act 2005 framework
• Maintain accurate case records while ensuring compliance with data governance protocols

Person Specification:

• Degree in Social Work (BA/MA) or equivalent recognised qualification
• Registration with Social Work England SWE
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and safeguarding adults frameworks
• Understanding of Equality Act 2010 and public sector duties
