Festival Security Officer – Job Description Job Purpose As a Festival Security Officer, you are responsible for ensuring the safety and well‑being of festival‑goers, staff, performers, and contractors within your designated area. You provide a visible, reassuring presence while maintaining order and delivering excellent customer service across busy, high‑energy festival environments. Job Overview You will work as part of a coordinated festival security team, supporting crowd safety, access control, search operations, and incident response. The role requires professionalism, strong communication, and the ability to remain calm, confident, and proactive in fast‑moving outdoor settings. Main Duties and Responsibilities Patrol festival grounds, arenas, entrances, campsites, and perimeter areas Conduct bag searches and person searches in line with festival policy Prevent unauthorised entry and ensure safe, controlled access for attendees Support crowd management, including directing movement and preventing congestion Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies Complete accurate incident and accident reports Assist with evacuation or emergency procedures when required Interact with festival‑goers in a polite, respectful, and confident manner Uphold festival rules and maintain a safe environment for all attendees Greet visitors, staff, and contractors in a professional and courteous manner Requirements Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence Strong communication and customer‑service skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Ability to remain calm and assertive in challenging situations Good physical fitness for long periods on foot and outdoor conditions Fluent in written and spoken English Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team Must be available to work: • 4th, 5th, 6th July • 29th July – 2nd August Own transport is essential due to rural festival locations and shift times
