The National Lottery Community Fund is recruiting a Chair / Co-Chair and between six and ten members to join the Lived, Learned and Professional (LLP) Advisory Group for our Supporting Change – Carers programme in Scotland.This is an opportunity to help shape a programme focused on improving the health of unpaid carers. We are looking for people with lived, learned and/or professional experience of unpaid care who can bring insight, constructive challenge and a strong commitment to inclusion.Supporting Change – Carers aims to tackle health inequalities affecting unpaid carers by addressing the root causes of long-term challenges through systems change. The programme is particularly interested in work that will:support carers through changes in their rolemake it easier to identify and support carersimprove support for carers who face additional barrierschange how unpaid care is understood and valuedThe LLP Advisory Group is a short-term, non-decision-making advisory group established by the National Lottery Community Fund’s Scotland Committee. It will operate from August 2026 until March 2028 and will help ensure that lived, learned, and professional perspectives are reflected in programme learning, priorities and governance discussions.Participation is flexible and designed to fit around caring responsibilities and other commitments. Most engagement will take place through a private Microsoft Teams space and occasional online meetings.The Chair / Co-Chair will have additional responsibilities, including helping to convene discussions, shaping agendas with staff, and drawing together key insights from the group.You do not need previous board, committee or chairing experience. We welcome applications from people with a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives, especially those underrepresented in formal governance spaces.Location: Based in ScotlandWorking from: Remote, with participation through Microsoft Teams and occasional online meetingsRemuneration: While the role is an unpaid and voluntary position, advisory group members will be remunerated in line with The National Lottery Community Fund’s Stakeholder Compensation Policy, with a higher rate for the Chair / Co-Chair to reflect the additional responsibilities of the role. Support is also available to reduce barriers to participation, including replacement care costs, reasonable adjustments, accessible materials and flexible engagement options.
