What you will do:

• Undertake comprehensive physical and mental health assessments upon an individual's reception into custody and throughout their sentence
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate individualised care interventions in line with Nursing and Midwifery Council NMC and Trust policies
• Safely administer medication and manage long-term conditions in accordance with statutory and organisational guidelines
• Identify and respond to risks such as self-harm, suicide, and safeguarding concerns, initiating appropriate referrals and interventions
• Provide nurse-led clinics addressing minor illness, chronic disease management, substance misuse, and mental health support

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse Adult, Mental Health, or Learning Disability
• Degree or Diploma in Nursing or equivalent

Registration and Compliance:

• Current NMC registration
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service DBS and Prison Clearance essential
• Knowledge of NHS governance, safeguarding frameworks, and the Mental Capacity Act

Experience:

• Minimum 6 months recent NHS or equivalent clinical experience
• Experience in primary care, community nursing, mental health, or secure settings desirable
• Exposure to substance misuse, long-term condition management, or urgent care beneficial
