Job DescriptionInverurie Waste depot have a vacancy for a Waste Operatives who will be required to carry out the duties in the collection of refuse/recyclables as presented by the property owners within the boundaries of Aberdeenshire Council. Core Responsibilities are as follows: •Carry out all duties within the waste services in a professional, smart and efficient manner.• Accurate input of information into digital devices e.g., tablets - for exception reporting and work progress.• Provide a monitoring service with regards to litter, damage, or any other relevant issues with regards to waste and streets.• Act as ambassador for the Council when interfacing with members of the public and will do so in a polite and friendly manner.• Maintain vehicle / equipment in clean and serviceable manner.• Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974), the Council’s Health and Safety policies and procedures, and all agreed safe systems of work, including the reporting of incidents and accidents without delay to management.• Wear the provided personal protective equipment including Hi-vis items of safety clothing and boots. Knowledge of the local area would be helpful. Working Pattern for this post is 4 days per week is either Monday - Thursday or Tuesday to Friday 9.25 hours per day. Working outdoors in all weathers.
