Collaborate with the retail and merchandising teams to align purchasing strategies with business objectives. Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory management for the retail department. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve favourable terms. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities. Prepare and present reports on purchasing performance to senior stakeholders. The Successful Applicant A successful Buyer should have: Proven experience in a buying or procurement role, ideally within the retail industry. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills. Excellent analytical abilities to assess market trends and make informed decisions. A meticulous approach to detail and a commitment to quality.
