Project Officer (Education and Training)

Salary: 29,000 Pro Rata

The post is based in the CCC offices in Kirkgunzeon, near Dalbeattie in Dumfries and Galloway

We are looking for an excellent communicator to join our team and support an evolving environmental education and training programme.

As Project Officer you will become an integral part of our dedicated and dynamic team working collaboratively to support our mission to restore nature, keep carbon where it belongs, and inspire others.

We are looking for a self-motivated, experienced individual that has the ability and enthusiasm to support a range of projects delivered by the Centre. A significant area of project work will be supporting development and delivery of our environmental education and training programmes. We have a long history of providing education across climate and environmental topics throughout Dumfries and Galloway and peatland restoration training throughout the UK and Ireland. We are now seeking to bring the two programmes together and support learning from primary to professionals.

The Project Officer will be working with all CCC project leads with cross over into science, education, arts and restoration. Training will be provided on the job (you don’t need to be a peatland specialist) although some demonstrable relevant education experience is expected.
