Overview of the Role

London Transport Museum’s (LTM’s) mission is to ignite curiosity to shape the future. The Museum Library contributes to this broader educational purpose by meeting the information needs of colleagues across the organisation. We also facilitate research visits and answer enquiries from the wider public on diverse topics, such as transport, social history, art, design, and architecture.

We are recruiting for a Library Assistant to support the day-to-day running of the LTM Library. This is a hands-on, varied role focused on keeping the Library operating efficiently and delivering a high-quality service to both internal teams and external enquirers. You will work collaboratively as part of our small and friendly Library team, helping to ensure the preservation and accessibility of our Library collection.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a library operating in a museum context. The role requires a proactive and organised individual who can manage their own workload, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute to the smooth delivery of library services.
