The role We’re looking for a Finance Analyst to join a high-performing Retail Finance team, supporting key areas including shrinkage, store performance and cost control . This is a highly visible role where you’ll take ownership of key processes, work closely with both finance and operational stakeholders, and play a key part in turning data into meaningful commercial insight. Key responsibilities Take ownership of month-end processes relating to shrinkage, ensuring accurate and timely P&L and balance sheet reporting Deliver reporting and analysis on stock loss, security costs and store performance Develop a strong understanding of shrinkage drivers to support forecasting and identify improvement opportunities Monitor and analyse security-related spend (e.g. guarding, CCTV), balancing cost efficiency with operational needs Partner with finance leaders and operational stakeholders on commercial reviews and cost control Manage cost centres and budgets , ensuring spend is tracked and well controlled Produce regular reporting on store profitability, sales trends and performance metrics Support with ad-hoc analysis across sales, performance and wider business initiatives About you Part-qualified (PQ) ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent) and actively studying Experience within retail or FMCG environments Strong experience supporting month-end processes Confident working with large data sets and strong Excel skills Naturally curious and inquisitive , keen to understand the “why” behind the numbers Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership and “own” the role Strong attention to detail, well organised and able to manage competing priorities Confident communicator who can build relationships across finance and non-finance teams Comfortable translating data into clear, actionable insights What’s on offer Study support package (ACCA / CIMA) Strong exposure to commercial finance and senior stakeholders Opportunity to develop within a growing retail business Supportive, collaborative team environment
