Job Purpose The primary role of the Security Guard is to ensure the safety and security of customers, employees, and company property within the fast food venue. The Security Guard will maintain a safe, welcoming, and secure environment while providing excellent customer service and responding effectively to any incidents. Job Overview This is a vital position as you will be the first point of contact for customers entering the venue and a key part of maintaining a safe and secure environment. You will monitor customer activity, deter anti-social behavior, prevent theft, and respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents. The role requires professionalism, vigilance, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Main Duties and Responsibilities Monitor and control customer access to the venue when required. Welcome customers and provide a visible security presence. Conduct bag checks where authorized and in accordance with company procedures. Monitor customer behavior and identify any suspicious activity. Prevent theft, vandalism, disorderly conduct, and violence within the venue. Manage customer queues and assist with crowd control during busy periods. Support employees in maintaining a safe and secure working environment. Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies. De-escalate conflicts and resolve disputes in a calm and appropriate manner. Liaise with management, emergency services, and law enforcement when necessary. Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including customer and staff areas. Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed. Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related events. Assist in emergency evacuations and ensure customers and staff are guided safely. Requirements Essential Valid SIA Door Supervisor License or Security Guard License. First Aid at Work Certificate (preferred). Right to work in the UK. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. Strong observation and conflict-management skills. Professional, courteous, and confident approach. Good physical fitness and ability to stand and patrol for extended periods. Desirable Previous experience in retail, hospitality, fast food, or customer-facing security roles. Knowledge of health and safety procedures. Experience in dealing with anti-social behavior and conflict resolution.
