Are you passionate about inspiring communities and helping improve the lives of people affected by cancer? We are seeking a passionate and proactive Schools and Community Fundraiser to build meaningful partnerships and inspire local support.About the roleAs Schools and Community Fundraiser, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering engaging fundraising initiatives across schools, community groups, and local networks. You will build strong relationships, inspire supporters, and create memorable campaigns that drive income and awareness.Key responsibilities include:Developing and delivering a schools and community fundraising strategyBuilding and maintaining relationships with schools, community groups, and local organisationsCreating engaging fundraising resources and campaignsSupporting supporters with fundraising ideas, materials, and guidancePlanning and attending events, presentations, and outreach activitiesWorking collaboratively with colleagues to maximise engagement and supporter experienceBenefits40 days annual leave, inclusive of public holidaysGenerous pension contribution (7% employer / 3% employee)Opportunity to develop creative community fundraising initiatives and grow local supportSupportive and collaborative working cultureAccess to an Employee Assistance Programme with 24/7 confidential wellbeing, financial and legal supportAbout youYou will be a motivated and engaging individual with a genuine passion for fundraising and community impact. You thrive on building relationships, inspiring others, and turning ideas into successful fundraising activity.You will be confident in connecting with a wide range of audiences, from schools and community groups to individual supporters, and will be driven to grow income through creative and engaging initiatives.You will bring:Experience in fundraising, community engagement, or a similar roleStrong relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire and engage supportersExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalThe ability to develop creative fundraising ideas and deliver them effectivelyStrong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and deadlinesA proactive, self-motivated approach with a focus on achieving targets and outcomesConfidence in using databases and Microsoft OfficeFull UK driving licence.This role involves work with children and is subject to a satisfactory PVG Scheme checkAbout the organisationBeatson Cancer Charity supports and enhances the treatment, care and wellbeing of current, former and future cancer patients and their families.
