Domestic Couple (live-in) Berkshire Salary: Competitive - c. £80,000 depending on experience. The right couple will be compensated accordingly Accommodation included One of our private clients requires a highly capable, experienced, and enthusiastic domestic couple to join their well-established household on a permanent basis. This is a wonderful opportunity for a settled, professional couple who take genuine pride in their work and are looking for a long-term position within a large private home. The Household The household caters primarily for two principals, and the focus is on excellent day-to-day standards The Role — Housekeeper/Cook Housekeeping duties and wardrobe management for the principal rooms — the master bedroom and dressing room — along with general cleaning and ironing of household laundry. There is an additional Housekeeper who takes care of the main areas in the house. A genuine enthusiasm for cooking is essential. Preparing and producing breakfast, lunch and a light supper. The principal oversees weekly menus but warmly welcomes suggestions from an engaged candidate. Cooking healthy, nutritious and delicious food, utilising garden produce whereever possible . Culinary training is not required, but a real love of food and the kitchen very much is. Additional duties include stock control, shopping for groceries and other supplies, and general household management. The Role — Houseman/Driver A confident all-rounder. Responsibilities include polishing floors, caring for the household throughout, driving, cleaning and maintaining vehicles, table laying and table service (informal rather than silver service), and dog care/walking. The candidate must be well-presented in all settings, both indoors and out, and hold a full, clean driving licence. There are no gardening duties in this position. Working Pattern Monday to Friday, typically finishing by 6pm. A degree of flexibility is appreciated, with occasional weekend availability required; ample notice will always be given. Accommodation A very comfortable self-contained flat on the estate is offered — comprising two bedrooms, a sitting room, and a kitchen/dining area. Children are welcome. Both parties must be committed, capable, and genuinely passionate about working in private service. Experience within a comparable private household is expected.
