Job Description

As a Buyer at JCB, you'll be responsible for managing supplier relationships and commercial activity across a portfolio of parts, services or categories that are critical to the business. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain teams, you'll balance cost, quality, delivery and risk, ensuring the right decisions are made not just today, but for the long term. You'll be encouraged to develop a strong understanding of the bigger picture, while staying close to day to day priorities. What does this role involve day to day? • You'll manage supplier relationships to deliver security of supply, cost effectiveness and strong performance • You'll work closely with engineering, operations and NPI teams to support product launches and ongoing production • You'll lead or contribute to sourcing activity, negotiations and commercial decisions • You'll identify and manage supply chain risks, supporting business continuity plans • You'll contribute to continuous improvement across purchasing, suppliers and internal ways of working Across all areas of the role autonomy, clear communication and effective decision‑making are key.
