Job Description
The Financial Accounting Officer will play a key role in supporting the Accounting & Finance department by managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assisting with reporting processes. The role will be working for an Arms Length Body and be based at a location around north London, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire or Leeds. Client Details An Arms Length Body with locations in London, Cambridgeshire, Leeds, Aberdeen and Cardiff. Description Processing purchase and sales ledgers Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports. Perform reconciliations, including bank accounts and balance sheets. Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and prepayments Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and analysis. Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems. Profile The successful Financial Accounting Officer should have: Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance (active CCAB studier or AAT Level 4). Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. An organised and detail-focused approach to managing tasks. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Job Offer Competitive salary ranging from £33,000 to £35,500 (please note, the top will only be payable if you are studying CCAB or are AAT Level 4) Fixed-term contract offering stability and professional growth opportunities. A mainly remote role with 2 days office attendance a month required.
