HCA - General Practice Locum

We are currently looking for HCA/Phlebotomist cover for a GP Surgery in Dorset BH20 Area. See Details below

Rateph: £18

No Home Visits 

Duties: Main Focus on Phlebotomy and Dressings but they are flexible depending on your skill set 

• Taking basic observations:
  • Blood pressure
  • Pulse
  • Temperature
  • Respiratory rate
  • Height and weight/BMI
• Performing health checks and NHS health screenings
• Taking blood samples (phlebotomy), if trained
• ECGs
• Simple wound care and dressing changes
• Urine testing
• New patient checks
• Assisting with chronic disease monitoring clinics (e.g. diabetes, asthma, hypertension)
• Stocking and cleaning clinical rooms/equipment
• Infection prevention and control procedures

Patient support duties

• Preparing patients for appointments
• Explaining basic procedures
• Chaperoning during examinations
• Supporting anxious or vulnerable patients
• Promoting healthy lifestyle advice

Administrative duties

• Updating patient records
• Booking follow-up appointments
• Handling specimens/lab forms
• Ordering supplies
• Following confidentiality and safeguarding procedures

Free Staff Parking on site 

Dates/Times 

Up to 2 days per week (Max 20hrs per week)
