Tax Associate

Your new company An established and forward‑thinking accountancy practice is seeking a Private Client Tax Assistant to join its growing team. Your new role You will support the Senior Tax Adviser within the Private Client Group, assisting with a broad range of personal tax work, including: Tax return preparation and review of client information P11D preparation and submission Managing coding notices and client correspondence Ensuring statutory deadlines are met Maintaining accurate client records and database updates Supporting ad‑hoc advisory work under supervision Building strong client relationships through clear communication and timely responses What You'll Be Doing Day‑to‑Day Preparing and submitting personal tax returns and P11Ds Monitoring workloads, budgets and deadlines Maintaining client files and internal systems Helping clients provide information promptly Identifying additional work requirements and escalating appropriately Contributing to the wider development of the firm What you'll need to succeed Strong academic background (A‑levels or degree) or relevant tax experience (2+ seasons) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Confident use of Microsoft Office Experience with TaxFiler/Iris Elements (advantageous but not essential) High attention to detail, strong problem‑solving skills and a methodical approach Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities What you'll get in return You'll gain exposure to a wide variety of clients and assignments, enjoy genuine career progression, and work in a supportive environment that blends the professionalism of a larger firm with the personal touch of a local practice.
