Contract Type: Term-time only, part-time (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 16:00–18:00) Closing Date: Midday, Wednesday 17th June 2026 Are you passionate about water polo and ready to inspire the next generation of athletes? This is an exciting opportunity to join Charterhouse as a Water Polo Coach, working closely with the Head of Swimming and Water Polo to develop pupils’ skills and love for the sport. Whether you’re an experienced coach or looking to grow your expertise in an educational setting, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant school community. Main Duties Planning and delivering engaging training sessions for boys and girls aged 13–18, catering to both participation and performance levels. Developing pupils’ water polo potential to the highest possible standards. Collaborating with the Head of Swimming and Water Polo on team selections and organising enjoyable House swimming and water polo competitions. Attending all home and away fixtures, ensuring pupils have a positive and competitive experience. Driving school minibuses when required (training provided if necessary). Person Specification Successful candidates will be likely to fit the following profile: An experienced coach with a least a Level 2 Water Polo Coaching Certificate; however, Level 1 Water Polo Assistant Coach will be considered. Excellent organisational, administrative and ICT skills. Experience of coaching at all levels in an educational setting would be beneficial. High levels of personal and professional integrity and the ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality. Positive rapport with pupils. A strong work ethic and flexible attitude. The department is made up of 10 dedicated staff who coach and lead teams across all three terms, including pre-season camps and overseas tours.
