If you are passionate about our environment's creation, protection and guardianship, we offer you an exciting opportunity to join our conservation team. As part of our business growth, we are looking to appoint a Conservation Projects/Maintenance Operative to strengthen our experienced team.
Role Specification:
We are looking for an entry / intermediate-level Operative. The person will report to the Operations manager. The work is varied as well as being physically demanding at times and requires you to work outside in sometimes difficult conditions.
You will work as part of a highly skilled team, with the main duty of carrying out practical work within the North west of England.
This role requires someone who ideally has experience in practical estates maintenance and management work.
Essential: Knowledge, Skills and Qualities
- Have previous experience of manual conservation groundwork, such as; herbicide spraying, maintenance and vegetation control.
- Current pesticide spraying ticket (PA1 and PA6a)
- To be able to demonstrate great care in the quality and standard of your work.
- You will be a good communicator and have excellent customer service awareness - you will be the face of the CCNW on our environmental projects.
- To be able to work as part of a team or alone if required
- Have a full driving licence that enables you to drive in the UK – (company vehicle will be provided)
- Be physically able to meet the demands of hard physical work and working out of doors in all weathers and in remote locations.
