You may join work on the In-Store Experience Mobile App, a set of features within the Tesco app designed to make shopping in physical stores faster, easier, more convenient, and more personalised. 

• Integrated into the main Tesco app, making it easily accessible to millions of customers already using the platform 

• Store locator helps customers find and choose the most suitable store for their shopping journey 

• Enables real-time stock availability checking and precise in-store aisle location, helping customers find products quickly 

• Create digital shopping lists in advance in the app – no more forgotten paper notes 

• Delivers personalised in-store offers and emails 

• Reduces friction throughout the shopping journey, creating a smoother and more enjoyable in-store experience

The In-Store Experience is part of the wider Tesco app ecosystem, currently native (iOS and Android) and evolving towards React Native with Expo. 

This creates a great opportunity to:

You will need

• Strong experience building production React Native applications 
• Comfortable working across both mobile and web when needed, or open to picking it up 
• Confidence designing and scaling complex mobile architectures 
• Solid understanding of mobile platform constraints and trade-offs 
• Experience working with GraphQL APIs 
• Awareness of mobile accessibility best practices 
• Comfortable working across the full development lifecycle (design → build → release → iterate) 
• Familiarity with Agile / Lean environments (TDD, BDD, etc. are a plus) 
• A proactive mindset—ownership, curiosity, and a drive to improve thing
