Support Worker
We are seeking full time Mental Health Support Workers to join a supported living service supporting people with mental health conditions in Mansfield.
Position: Support Worker (Mental Health)
Salary: £12.82 - £13.11 per hour
Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Hours: Full time, 39 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
About the Role
This is a rewarding opportunity to support individuals living with mental health conditions within a supported living environment made up of self contained flats.
You will work closely alongside the people you support, helping them cope with day to day life, achieve their goals and feel safe, secure and supported. The role includes providing practical, emotional and physical support and may include some personal care.
The service also supports individuals who may have additional needs including alcohol and drug misuse, mild learning disabilities and ASD.
The role involves working a rolling three week rota covering both day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Support individuals with daily activities and routines
Provide emotional and physical support
Help people work towards personal goals and greater independence
Promote a safe, secure and supportive environment
Work as part of a team delivering high quality support
Maintain accurate written records and communication
About You
We are looking for someone with experience working within health and social care and supporting people with complex behaviours.
You will also have:
Strong communication skills
Good IT skills
Strong written and verbal communication
A flexible and professional approach
The ability to work positively as part of a team
