Accepting applications until: 4 June 2026 Job Description Your new role - Social Media Producer, Radio X The purpose of this role is to manage and lead social media activity for Radio X. You’ll work across on-air and online to create outstanding social media and video content. You’ll be responsible for driving growth and engagement across all of Radio X’s social platforms, including YouTube. You will be passionate about crafting engaging, on-brand content that ultimately increases awareness of Radio X and Global Player, driving on air listening, social engagement and video views. You’ll be part of the Radio X Digital team and work closely with the Digital Managing Editor. Key Responsibilities Production (40%): Creating engaging social posts and video content for Radio X’s social platforms, with focus on Instagram and YouTube. Creative (40%): You’ll collaborate with our programming and digital teams on big ideas for social channels including original formats/series. Talent (20%): You’ll be working and coaching our presenters and producers to deliver the very best content for the platform and sharing best practices to build engaged audiences. What You’ll Love About This Role Think Big : You'll have a key role in developing our video formats for platforms like YouTube. Own It : Taking charge of projects from start to finish, delivering standout content and using social and YouTube analytics to help improve our content. Keep it Simple : Break down complex concepts into clear, engaging and easily digestible content that resonates with our audience. Better Together : Collaborate closely with the Radio X programming team on campaigns that span all our platforms: on-air, online, social and more. What Success Looks Like In your first few months, you’ll have: Created new, fresh and engaging social content for Radio X. Delivered multiple projects, including new social and video ideas. Worked one of Radio X’s regular brand events and seen your content go live. Thrived in a supportive, passionate team. What You’ll Need A passion for social media and video, current trends and conversations. A love for music and entertainment, particularly indie and rock. An understanding of the Radio X brand, tone, its satellite channels and music policy. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. A creative mind with a skill for problem solving. Experience in developing a digital presence either professionally or personally. Experience in the use of Photoshop, Canva or similar. Some experience in video editing on Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar. An ability to collaborate with stakeholders both internal and external.
