Job Description The key responsibilities for the Receptionist role are: Welcome and assist visitors, ensuring a professional and friendly first impression. Answer and direct incoming calls promptly and accurately. Maintain and update records, databases, and filing systems. Manage and distribute incoming and outgoing post and correspondence. Schedule appointments and manage meeting room bookings. Provide general administrative support to the secretarial and business support team. Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times. Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. The Successful Applicant A successful Receptionist should have: Strong organisational and multitasking skills to handle various administrative tasks. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with visitors and staff. Proficiency in basic office software, including word processing and email tools. A professional and approachable manner, ensuring positive interactions with all stakeholders. Attention to detail and the ability to work under minimal supervision. Previous experience in a similar role within the public sector is desirable but not essential. What's on Offer An hourly rate between £12.00 and £14.00, depending on experience.
