The Role
As Team Kit Coordinator, you’ll play an important role within the Team Services function, helping ensure athletes and team officials receive a welcoming, professional and athlete-centred experience throughout their time in Glasgow. Team Services is responsible for creating a true “home away from home” environment, supporting athletes to relax, recover and prepare to perform at their best during the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Working across 18 team hotels located throughout Glasgow city centre, you’ll support the planning and delivery of athlete laundry operations during both training and competition periods. Close collaboration with laundry service providers, hotels, Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs) and internal Games teams will be central to the role, helping ensure athletes always have reliable access to clean training and competition kit.
Operating within a fast-paced and evolving environment, you’ll help coordinate contractor onboarding, support Games-time operations and contribute to resolving operational challenges quickly and professionally. Strong relationship-building skills, organisation and attention to detail will all be key to supporting a seamless athlete experience throughout the Games.
Job Summary
Joining Glasgow 2026 as Team Kit Coordinator offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the athlete experience at one of the world’s biggest sporting events. Organisation, communication and operational coordination skills will be essential as you help support laundry operations and wider Team Services activity across Games locations.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include working closely with service providers, accommodation teams and operational stakeholders to help ensure services are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. Supporting contractor mobilisation, coordinating operational activity and helping maintain effective communication across teams will form an important part of the role.
Success in this role will come from building positive working relationships, remaining calm under pressure and bringing a proactive, solutions-focused approach to operational delivery.
Experience within accommodation, athlete services, residential operations or major events environments will help you thrive, alongside a willingness to adapt within a dynamic Games setting. Most importantly, this role offers the chance to help create a welcoming and memorable Commonwealth Games experience for athletes and team officials from across the world.
Key Skills and Experience
We’re looking for someone with experience supporting accommodation, residential, athlete services or major event operations within a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be essential, alongside the ability to build positive working relationships with contractors, accommodation providers, Commonwealth Games Associations and internal teams.
A collaborative and organised approach will help you succeed in this role, particularly when managing competing priorities and operational activity across multiple locations. High attention to detail, resilience and the ability to remain calm and solutions-focused under pressure will also be important. Experience managing accommodation or residential operations within a major event environment would be highly beneficial, alongside confidence using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
