School Chef

Job Title: School Chef – Term Time Only Location: Enfield Salary: £15-£17 Hours: (Monday to Friday, Term Time Only) Contract: Temporary to Permanent Start: June 2026 About the Role Complete classroom services are seeking a committed and passionate School Chef to join our dedicated team, supporting the nutritional needs of our students in a nurturing and inclusive educational environment. Our school provides a safe and structured setting for pupils with a wide range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. As our Chef, you’ll play a vital role in creating a positive dining experience that contributes to each student’s wellbeing and readiness to learn. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare and cook nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements and individual needs Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and food presentation in line with school and statutory policies Manage kitchen supplies, stock levels and food ordering within budget Work closely with school staff to support any individual dietary or allergy requirements Supervise kitchen assistants (if applicable) and contribute to a collaborative team culture Maintain accurate records and comply with food safety regulations The school are Looking for Someone Who: Has previous experience working as a chef, ideally in an educational Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to pay for a new one Understands the importance of food in supporting emotional and physical wellbeing First Aid trained or qualified Holds relevant food hygiene certifications (Level 2 or above) Can work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people Why Join complete classroom services?
