Job Description

A leading international law firm is seeking a highly organised and proactive Legal Secretary (Antitrust) to provide high‑quality secretarial and administrative support within a busy London practice. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with counsel, associates and trainees in a collaborative, professional services environment. The role As a Legal Secretary (Antitrust), you will be responsible for supporting fee earners with day‑to‑day administrative and client‑focused tasks, ensuring matters are managed efficiently and to a consistently high standard. You will exercise sound judgement when managing priorities, handle confidential information with discretion, and play a key role in delivering an excellent service to both internal and external clients. The position operates on a 9.30am–5.30pm shift pattern, with flexibility required during peak periods. Key responsibilities Managing fee earners’ diaries, inboxes and appointments, resolving conflicting priorities Assisting with billing processes and liaising with Accounts Opening new clients and matters, carrying out conflict checks and drafting engagement letters Arranging travel and preparing detailed itineraries Maintaining accurate contact details and client information systems Managing electronic and hard‑copy filing to ensure records are complete and up to date Document processing, proofreading and ensuring work is produced to a high standard Handling calls, messages, post, expenses and general administrative tasks Building strong working relationships and contributing positively to team collaboration About you You will have at least two years’ experience supporting at associate level (or equivalent) within a legal, corporate or banking environment. You will be confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, with strong written communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
