Finance Assistant (Fixed Term until 31 March 2027) - PKC13739£27,010 – £28,4552 High Street, Perth
An excellent secondment cover opportunity has arisen within Finance & Business Support. The post is based within a finance team providing comprehensive financial administration support to a varied range of teams across Perth and Kinross Council, including the use of financial management systems and Microsoft software packages.
This is an ideal opportunity for you to showcase your abilities in supporting service delivery by providing a range of financial support tasks.
This post is currently a hybrid working position, based partly in the office at 2 High Street with the team and partly working from home.
Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorship for this post.Skills & Experience RequiredYou will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and numeracy skills and have the ability to work under pressure to manage conflicting demands, sometimes within tight timescales. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
Effective teamworking is essential, and you will be a team player who is willing to share knowledge and experience. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is also vital, alongside a flexible approach to change and the ability to adapt to new ways of working.
Excellent IT and digital skills are essential in order to operate and maintain relevant systems data necessary for processing financial transactions, monitoring and reporting. Extensive knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office (Office 365) is essential, and experience of working in a financial administration support environment is desirable.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to deal effectively with internal and external customers across all areas of work, demonstrating good working relationships and the ability to respond appropriately to enquiries and requests.
You will be able to follow and apply processes and procedures in order to understand the activities of the work area. The ability to understand and follow
Health and Safety policies and procedures relevant to the role and work activities is essential, as is adherence to current GDPR guidance.
