About the role We are looking for two highly organised and enthusiastic Programme Officers (BA) to support the delivery of our undergraduate programmes in Brighton and for our online courses: 1 Programme Officer (BA) – Brighton 1 Programme Officer (BA) – Online (remote working) Working closely with Heads of Year and the wider education team, you will be a key point of contact for students—helping them succeed academically while ensuring the programme runs smoothly and effectively. This is a varied role combining administration, teaching, student support, and content coordination. What you’ll be doing Supporting the day-to-day delivery of BA programmes Acting as a key contact for students, providing guidance and academic support Delivering seminars, webinars, and 1:1 tutorials Coordinating and managing digital learning content on our VLE Assisting with timetabling and ensuring sessions are appropriately staffed Coordinating assessment processes and marking teams Supporting student progress and engagement through regular communication Helping maintain high levels of student satisfaction and achievement Assisting with academic administration and key programme processes Supporting events, activities, and wider college initiatives What we’re looking for Essential: Able to demonstrate proven competence and experience in an education setting Undergraduate degree Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) Experience using and developing Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail Confident working independently and proactively Strong Microsoft 365 skills A friendly, approachable, and supportive manner Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving organisation Desirable: Interest in music, ideally as a performer or practitioner Why join WaterBear?
