About the role Love great food and enjoy delivering exceptional service? Join us as a Food & Beverage Assistant and become a member of a team that makes every customer experience unforgettable! In this role, you’ll ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our catering operations and provide outstanding service at all times. What you'll do: Take customer orders and serve food and drinks with a smile Operate tills and handle transactions accurately Keep food stations stocked and ready for service Assist with cleaning, clearing tables, and maintaining catering areas Learn barista skills with full coffee machine training provided This role is primarily Monday to Friday, with early mornings and late evenings included. Occasional weekend shifts will be required during busy University events such as Open Days. For more information on the department, including benefits see Working in Campus Services About you You will bring a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Previous experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable. You’re a strong team player who remains calm, professional, and solutions-focused under pressure, as peak periods can be extremely busy. During quieter times, you’ll take initiative by identifying tasks that keep the operation running smoothly and ensure everything is fully prepared for the next service.
