What you will do:

• Manage a caseload of Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children cases in accordance with statutory duties and local procedures

• Undertake assessments, direct work, and interventions under Sections 17 and 47 of the Children Act 1989

• Develop, implement, and review outcome-focused care and safeguarding plans in partnership with children, families, and multi-agency professionals

• Lead safeguarding activity, including core groups, child protection conferences, and statutory reviews

• Prepare high-quality reports for legal planning meetings, court proceedings, and permanency planning where required

Qualifications:

• Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent)

• Completion of ASYE or relevant post-qualifying experience within children’s social care

Registration & Compliance:

• Registered with Social Work England

• Strong knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and statutory safeguarding frameworks

• Understanding of Public Law Outline (PLO), court processes, and permanency planning principles
