Learning Support Assistant

Bright Futures Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a highly successful and supportive Multi-Academy Trust for ambitious, dedicated, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and making a positive difference within education. Previous experience is welcomed but not essential, making this role ideal for candidates looking to begin a career within schools, education support, SEND, or youth work.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development, ensuring all learners can access the curriculum effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and small group support to students.
• Support students with a range of learning and emotional needs.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Encourage positive behaviour and student participation.
• Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Support students to develop confidence, independence, and resilience.
• Work collaboratively as part of a wider support team.

Essential Criteria

The successful candidate will:

• Be passionate about supporting children and young people.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be patient, positive, and approachable.
• Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential.
• An interest in education, SEND, SEMH, or pastoral support.
• Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, health and social care, or youth work are advantageous but not required.
