Partick Thistle Charitable Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Community Employability Officer to support young people aged 16–18 across communities in North Glasgow.This exciting role is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and will focus on engaging and inspiring young people by connecting them with opportunities within both the football and wider business sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing participants’ entrepreneurial thinking, employability skills, and confidence.Key ResponsibilitiesEngage and support young people (aged 16–18) from North Glasgow communitiesPlan and deliver engaging workshops and masterclasses focused on employability, enterprise, and entrepreneurshipProvide person centred pathway opportunities into football-related and business environmentsFacilitate programmes based at Firhill Stadium and Petershill ParkBuild positive relationships with participants, partners, and stakeholdersMonitor and evaluate programme outcomes and participant progressWork collaboratively with the Chief Executive Officer and wider Trust teamPerson SpecificationEssential:Experience of working with young people, particularly those aged 16–18Strong communication and engagement skillsExperience delivering workshops, training, or group sessionsKnowledge of employability, enterprise, or youth development programmesAbility to motivate and inspire young people from diverse backgroundsDesirable:Understanding of community sport, football, or charitable sector deliveryExperience of partnership working across education, employability, or business sectorsThe postholder will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
