Mehspan are seeking a talented and motivated Document Controller to work at Shotton Mill £1.6 Billion redevlopemt proejct.
You will be responsible for the accurate control, management, and availability of all transport, logistics, and compliance documentation. The role supports end-to-end transport operations by ensuring critical documents are maintained in line with UK regulations, company standards, and audit requirements, enabling smooth operations, compliance, and performance monitoring across the transport network.

Essential Criteria
You will be responsible for the accurate control, management, and availability of all transport, logistics, and compliance documentation. The role supports end-to-end transport operations by ensuring critical documents are maintained in line with UK regulations, company standards, and audit requirements, enabling smooth operations, compliance, and performance monitoring across the transport network.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and archive transport and logistics documentation, including PODs, delivery notes, contracts, and compliance records.
- Ensure document accuracy, version control, and retention in line with legal, ISO, and GDPR requirements.
- Act as the central point of contact for transport documentation with carriers, planners, and internal teams.
- Support real-time operations, audits, reporting, and KPI performance related to document provision and accuracy.
- Promote safe, compliant working practices in line with HSE and site procedures.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a transport documentation management or similar logistics role.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Confident and effective use of Intranet and Email systems.
- Good understanding of Transportation Management Systems (TMS), such as SAP TMS, Aptean, Paragon Routing & Scheduling, Transporeon, or 3t.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage high volumes of work.
- Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines and performance targets.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to encourage, influence, and inspire others to achieve shared goals.
- CIPS, APICS, or an equivalent supply chain or logistics qualification.
- Knowledge or practical understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Turkish language skills (advantageous but not essential).
