Production Engineer
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and optimise manufacturing processes within a forward-thinking engineering business based in Bangor.
Job Description
- Provide day-to-day engineering support to production operations, troubleshooting equipment and process issues while working closely with assemblers and operators.
- Lead continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing productivity, quality, labour efficiency, and throughput using Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
- Manage engineering changes, process validations, PFMEAs, and manufacturing documentation to ensure robust and controlled production processes.
- Support new product introductions by developing tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing methods that ensure efficient and scalable production.
Compensation
- Full-time, permanent position working 39 hours per week.
- Standard hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am to 12:30pm.

Skills
- BSc or HNC in an engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Previous experience in Production or Manufacturing Engineering with a strong focus on continuous improvement and structured problem solving.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD/Draftsight, with advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP system knowledge.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
