Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a rewarding educational setting? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a specialist school in the Coventry area.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with children and young people with additional needs, developing your practical skills while making a meaningful difference every day.

Role Details

• Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
• Flexible working options: Full-time or part-time available
• Pay: £92 – £100 per day

About the Role
You will be supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs. Working closely with teaching staff, you will help create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment tailored to each student.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support
• Assist with personalised learning plans
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Support students with communication and social interaction
• Help create a safe and engaging classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate

• A degree in Psychology (or a related field)
• A genuine interest in supporting children with SEN
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
• Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals (desirable but not essential)

Requirements

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
• Suitable References
