About the role
We're looking for a flexible, reliable and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our team in Market Drayton (TF9), working across multiple support settings in the local area.
You'll support a range of individuals with learning disabilities, autism and Down syndrome, offering both 1:1 and shared support depending on the service. This is an exciting and varied role where no two days are the same - perfect for someone who enjoys building different relationships and adapting their approach.
Across the services, you'll support:
Individuals aged 30s-60s
A mix of men and women
People with a range of independence levels and support needs
What you will be doing
You'll provide high-quality, person-centred support across services, including:
Supporting daily routines and independence
Personal care (where required)
Meal preparation and household tasks
Medication administration (training provided)
Supporting community activities and outings
Encouraging social interaction and meaningful engagement
Providing reassurance and responding to behaviours of concern
Building positive relationships with individuals and teams
Your role will vary between services, giving you the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and experiences.
Who you will be supporting
Across the services, people enjoy a wide variety of activities, including:
Shopping trips and café visits
Walking, farm visits and community clubs
Social clubs and meeting friends
Music, DJing and board games
Creative activities and structured routines
Watching TV, films and shared leisure time
Some individuals live very independently, while others benefit from more structured support, routines, or guidance around behaviours and social interactions.
Shift patterns
This role offers up to 45 hours per week, worked flexibly across services.
Typical shifts include:
7:00am - 2:30pm
2:30pm - 10:00pm
Long days: 10:00am - 10:00pm
Sleep-ins: 10:00pm - 7:00am (£50 paid to sleep)
Flexibility is essential, as shifts and locations will vary depending on service needs.
