Practice Nurse (Maternity Cover)

Location: Northeast Newcastle (NE4)

Salary: £21.00 - £24.50 per hour (DOE)

Contract type: (Maternity Cover - 9-12 Months with potential for permanent)

We are working with a friendly and supportive CQC-rated 'Good' GP practice in North East Newcastle (NE4) who are looking to welcome an experienced Practice Nurse on a maternity cover contract, with the potential for permanent days alongside the cover.

The practice can offer 2-4 days per week, with Mondays and Tuesdays essential, and the option to work on Wednesdays and an additional day if you're looking for more hours, with scope for these extra days to become permanent.

About the Role:

You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care within a busy practice, working alongside a strong clinical and non-clinical team of around 30 staff, supporting a patient list of approximately 11,000. The practice places a strong emphasis on patient access and first-contact care, making this a varied and rewarding role where you can utilise your full nursing skillset.

Key Skills Required: Baby, adult, flu and travel immunisations, Cervical cytology (smears), Wound care and management, Chronic disease reviews or management, Family planning clinics, bloods
