Healthcare assistant

Haven Care Staffing is a healthcare staffing agency based in Bolton, supplying reliable and fully compliant Healthcare Assistants to care homes across Bolton, Bury and Wigan. We are currently building our bank of dedicated HCAs to cover day and night shifts when care homes need additional support. We are looking for passionate, experienced Healthcare Assistants who want flexible work with weekly pay. YOUR ROLE As an agency HCA through Haven Care Staffing you will be placed in care homes across Bolton, Bury and Wigan to provide high quality personal care and support to residents when homes need additional cover. Shifts are allocated based on your availability and care home requirements. We will contact you when shifts become available. Both day and night shifts are available. Workers must have reliable transport to cover placements across Bolton, Bury and Wigan. DUTIES INCLUDE Assisting residents with personal care including washing, dressing and grooming. Supporting residents with mealtimes and nutrition. Helping with mobility and moving and handling. Providing companionship and emotional support to residents. Accurate record keeping and handover notes. Following care plans and reporting any changes to the nurse in charge. Maintaining dignity and respect at all times. Adhering to infection control procedures. REQUIREMENTS Minimum 6 months experience as an HCA in a care home or hospital setting. Enhanced DBS check current or willing to apply. Right to work in the United Kingdom. Valid mandatory training certificates including manual handling, safeguarding adults, infection control, basic life support and fire safety. Care Certificate completed or working towards. Two professional references. Reliable, punctual and professional attitude. Genuine passion for delivering quality care. Reliable transport to travel across Bolton, Bury and Wigan. SHIFT RATES Weekday days — £13.50 per hour. Weekday nights — £14.00 per hour. Weekend days — £15.00 per hour. Weekend nights — £15.50 per hour. Bank holidays — £17.00 per hour. WHAT WE OFFER Weekly pay at £13.50 to £17.00 per hour depending on shift. Flexible shifts worked around your availability. Day and night shifts available across Bolton, Bury and Wigan. Shifts allocated based on your availability — we will contact you when shifts become available.
