Junior Buyer Are you a commercial exec, junior buyer or graduate looking to progress your career in the world of procurement? Do you have an interest in agriculture, fresh produce or the retail supply chain? If so, our client would be very interested in knowing more about you. They are looking for bright, switched-on individuals to develop within their business. They will offer support, training and personal development to aid your skills and progress your career. This is a fast track to a buyer role and developing your procurement career. You will be buying fresh produce from a variety of grower partners. You'll build close relationships with the farmers, securing the contracts for the volume of produce you need to fulfil orders. You will deal with any grower returns or quality issues with the suppliers, and form a link between the packhouse and quality team and the suppliers. Planning for peak trading periods will be key to being successful. The role would suit someone who is highly organised and can communicate clearly. Interested in finding out more?
