We have an opening for an Ecologist with excellent data handling skills and a good eye for detail to join The Wildlife Information Centre’s (TWIC’s) small and dedicated team.

You will support the efficient and accurate processing of biological records in TWIC’s database to ensure that TWIC’s data holdings are kept current and comprehensive. The post-holder will also coordinate the workshops programme, manage mailings to recorders and contribute to the wider work of TWIC by supporting Local Biodiversity Sites work. Knowledge of natural history in Scotland/UK and previous experience of working with large datasets or GIS would be a distinct advantage.

TWIC is an environmental charity with an established reputation for excellence in the provision of biodiversity data within south-east and part of central Scotland. As a Local Environmental Record Centre, TWIC currently holds over 4.5 million species records as well as extensive habitat and designated site information. Our programme of events supports new and existing recorders and stimulates public interest in biological recording.
